Oven baked pork chops in gravy11/7/2023 ![]() Looking forward to trying your other recipes. This will be added to my rotation monthly. I made a dressing as needed to use up some bread and homemade country green beans with bacon and onions. I also had no cream but had half and half and let me tell you it still came out amazing. I do not use fresh herbs as never get to use fast enough so I use dried. Only 2 things I changed was used Herb De Provence as I was out of Thyme. I set out my frozen pork chops in fridge to thaw and were ready to be made with this amazing recipe. ![]() I wanted a change and came across this one a couple days ago. It wonderful and always ate up and want more Lol. I have been making the same baked pork chops I learned from my mom and have been making it for almost 45 years. So happy to come across your recipe for Smothered Pork Chops. Biscuits or dinner rolls are always a welcome addition to this comforting meal. For a vegetable side dish, I recommend green beans, roasted broccoli or roasted Brussels sprouts. You can also serve the pork chops with egg noodles, pasta or roasted potatoes. This dish goes especially well with mashed potatoes since you can spoon extra gravy over the potatoes. If the gravy gets too thick you can stir in a little more broth to thin it out.You may use boneless pork chops, but be sure that they are at least 1 inch thick and be careful to not overcook them.
