Hatch restore sunrise alarm11/8/2023 Newham council recognises the issue, given it threatens to throttle their chief regeneration driver, so have drawn up an Outline Business Case for significant station improvements. And it needs another major rebuild today, or will do soon, as unforeseen numbers of passengers clog its platforms and passageways as they try to thread their way across a split-level labyrinth. It needed another major rebuild before the Olympics, including two new subways and an external overbridge, plus a brand new northern ticket hall adjacent to Westfield. It needed a major rebuild in the late 90s before the Jubilee line arrived, fronted by the steel and glass concourse we see today. You aren’t required to have a sound to go with the sunrise light.Stratford station can be a nightmare to get around, having grown over the years to become an impenetrable monster of an interchange. There’s also nature sounds like wind or frogs or a tranquil stream that you can wake up to. There’s probably 15 different sunrise combinations and maybe 8-10 soft melodies you can choose to have play for the wake-up. Once you set up the alarm profiles for whatever you want date/time wise then it’s good to go! But it’s easy to make a custom alarm to only work on certain days, like you mentioned. You can see in the second pic there I have every day of the week highlighted. The app is easy to use, just click it and then tap the name of your device (mine is just named Restore) and the following pops up:įrom there if you click at the bottom where it says 9:05am this is what appears. I took a couple screen shots to show you my Hatch setup. Q 2 - Yes, customized day alarms are easy to create. I haven’t paid for anything past the original purchase price of the clock. Q 1 - Yes, sunset simulation works on the free version. Not sure about the clock but I don’t think it had a sensor to recognize light vs dark. Hey! I can answer questions 1 & 2 for you. Put it this way: I will be traveling next month for a vacation and you better believe it’s coming along with me! For whatever reason the sunrise simulation and gentle flute setting I chose really works well vs my normal alarm. I tried not using it on the weekend once and deeply regretted it. That’s quite an improvement and I’m a harsh critic so it may be more than that. But it makes my life easily 20% easier in the morning, maybe even 25% better. The fact that it does it consistently and calmly is even better. The fact that some woo-woo sun lamp (which is not very big and looks really nice IRL) can wake my dead ass up in this situation is frankly astonishing. Just to give you an idea of the environment. Then I sleep on my stomach with the covers completely over my head. I need the room at 61 deg which require a portable AC for noise a and coolness. I have blackout blinds and then 2 layers of blackout curtains over them. I sleep in a pitch black room with electrical tape over any single bit of light from devices. I still need the spotlight strength although am down to 85% brightness! So it’s somehow training me to wake up without me even knowing how which is pretty cool. However, the user gets to set how bright they want it to get. The range goes from from barely even detectable to stadium lights. The sunrise/sunset brightness levels are quite varied. It’s by far my least favorite device yet it’s the one I rely on the most to function every day. Haha I definitely have a love/hate relationship with the clock. Ended up also using some mild customization options to wind down in the evening with which is nice. I wanted something super bright to wake me up. There are extra paid sounds and noises to listen to but I didn’t feel the need to get them when the standard options are so vast.Ī family member listens to gentle oceans all night and another wakes up with birds chirping and a short meditation. I like it and there’s a setting to turn off the clock on it permanently so I did that. I found for me the 20 min one works well. You can select how quickly you want to sunrise part to happen (5, 10, 20, 30 mins). There’s many different hues you can select from and various songs or melodies. The volume range for the sound is impressive as well. It wakes me up on 85% brightness and I have to squint. I have it on the far side of the room and I sleep with my head completely under the covers. Frankly it’s like a football stadium spotlight in your face. You could do it much faster as the app is very easy to use. I spent easily 2 hours fussing with settings at first - although I was looking at every single option and stacking the alarms. There are A TON of options for both the sunrise (wake up) and sunset (evening wind down). Once I finally get to sleep I sleep like the dead but this thing does actually wake me up.
